To create a visionary electric motorcycle concept from the white sheet and to build a full-scale model for the New Delhi India Auto Expo.
Objectives
Buell Racing and Hero Moto are pioneers in modern motorcycle technologies. They wanted to stand out at the India Auto Expo in New Delhi by presenting a visionary urban motorcycle concept to the public. In this context, we were given the opportunity to express our creativity and design vision for this concept. Our mission was to design the electric motorcycle from A to Z, by assuming the research of promising technologies, the preliminary ergonomic study, the proposal of a unique style and the fabrication of a model, all in record time.

Approach
This look into the future had to be plausible and express the technological power of Buell Racing and Hero Moto. Our passion for innovation and experience in the motorized recreational vehicle industry was a major asset. We first defined the essence of the concept by identifying emerging and inspiring technologies and then defined the ergonomics and proportions of the vehicle. We then refined the volumes and drew each curve, as well as designed the mechanical elements that would compose it.
This motorcycle concept had to express agility and high technology. Its attitude also had to be in line with its duty of an urban vehicle. From concept creation to manufacturing of the full-scale model, including the detailed 3D modeling of all the elements, we took responsibility for each step of the Hero iON design. Its enigmatic character and the fluidity of its curves makes it a pure and desirable design object.
Results
More than just an accessible and environmentally friendly motorcycle concept, the Hero iON is a paradigm shaker. It offers a unique stylistic direction and is generating remarkable interest. Highly appreciated at the New Delhi show, the concept attracted the attention of many experts in the profession and the general public, thus reinforcing their image as an innovative manufacturer, while ensuring enviable traffic at the show!
